Board Safe designs and manufactures custom aluminum gangways and related gangway components to customer specification.
Our aluminum gangways are welded instead of bolted together to make them stronger, with the added benefit that there are no unsightly bolt heads for clothing or body parts to get caught on. Board Safe gangways can be manufactured in custom widths and lengths, up to a maximum of 80 ft. long!
Our gangways are manufactured from our proprietary aluminum components such as a main frame, hinge angle and hinge, as well as standard shape items such as channel and tubing.
The gangways are made using an aluminum frame with various decking options:
- Aluminum (with standard proprietary anti-skid surface)
- IPE Wood
- Cedar
- Kebony Lumber
- Composite Decking
For all our custom docks, gangways, piers and walkways, Board Safe recommends the TimberStrong Fastening System. TimberStrong Fasteners allow decking panels to be fastened from the top without drilling through individual boards, leaving a smooth, clean deck surface. TimberStrong Fasteners are guaranteed to never rust in either salt or fresh water applications and come in a selection of ¼", 3/8", ½", 5/8" or ¾" spacing.
