Board Safe designs and manufactures custom boat piers and walkways with related dock components to customer specification.
Unlike floating docks and gangways that move up and down with tidal levels and wave action, boat piers and walkways are fixed structures that provide waterfront access by extending out into the water.
Boat piers can extend a great distance over water for access to fishing, or over wetlands, providing minimal impact for observing nature. One of the longest piers in the world extends a distance of 1 3/4 miles out to sea!
Walkways, like boat piers, can extend for great distances over marshy ground, sand and sand dunes. Most commercially developed beachfront real estate uses raised walkways known as boardwalks.
Applications for our boat piers and walkways include:
- Fishing Piers
- Pleasure Piers/Decks
- Watercraft Access and Docking
- Nature Observatory
- Natural Habitat Access and Preservation
- Boardwalks
- Causeways and Spans
Our boat piers and walkways can be manufactured with a choice of frame materials including:
- Aluminum
- Pressure Treated Lumber
The boat piers and walkways also can be made with various decking options. The options include:
- Aluminum (with standard proprietary anti-skid surface)
- IPE Wood
- Cedar
- Kebony Lumber
- Composite Decking
For all our boat piers and walkways, Board-Safe.com recommends the patent pending TimberStrong Fastening System. TimberStrong Fasteners allow decking panels to be fastened from the top without drilling through individual boards, leaving a smooth, clean deck surface that will last longer than those decks using traditional installation methods. TimberStrong Fasteners are guaranteed to never rust in either salt or fresh water applications and come in a selection of ¼", 3/8", ½", 5/8" or ¾" spacing.
Our goal is to identify, design, engineer and produce the appropriate solution for your site, working from the point of conception to the time of installation. Please contact us (link to contact page) for any of your custom boat pier or walkway needs.
